Pacquiao on retired Mayweather: Kung bumalik siya, pwedeng hamunin

Newly crowned World Boxing Association welterweight champion Senator Manny Pacquiao on Tuesday raised the possibility of a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. if the undefeated champion came out of retirement.

According to Chino Trinidad's report on "24 Oras", several names have already cropped up as Pacquiao's next opponent.

Asked about a possible rematch with Mayweather, Pacquiao said, "Iniistorbo pa natin 'yung tao. Wala na sa boxing, 'yun eh. Retired na eh."

"Pero kung bumalik siya, pwede rin na nating hamunin," Pacquiao said.

A report on boxingscene.com said Top Rank promoter Bob Arum had asked Pacquiao if he'd want to fight boxers Terence Crawford and Vasyl Lomachengko.

"Pwede naman yan. Posible 'yan pero we need to make sure na hindi tayo agrabyado," Pacquiao said.

The last boxer to defeat Pacquiao, Australian Jeff Horn, hinted at a possible rematch after the Filipino knocked out and dethroned Argentinian champion Lucas Matthysse on Sunday. —NB, GMA News
