UST men, FEU women sweep UAAP table-tennis tourney en route to titles

MANILA, Philippines – University of Santo Tomas scored a perfect 12-of-12 during the eliminations in UAAP table tennis to win the men’s championship Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City. Glen Rodriguez led the Tigers to an unbeaten run, an effort that won him the MVP. Teammate Zoren Mendiola took home Rookie of the Year. In the ladies’ division, Far Eastern University swept through its 10-match schedule to also win the title outright. The Lady Tams’ Beverly Villar was hailed MVP, while Princess Mason of UST was named Rookie of the Year. UST also took the juniors championship via 12-game sweep. Kheithlyn Cruz was adjudged MVP, while Donna Gamill Rookie of the Year. – GMANews.TV
