UAAP: NU vs Adamson round one preview and live-scoring

Game starts at 4pm. Page auto-refreshes every 30 seconds.

The National University Bulldogs and the Adamson University Soaring Falcons will try to pick themselves up after twin disappointing losses, when they go head-to-head on Saturday at the MOA Arena.

NU (3-2) mounted a late comeback try against the FEU Tamaraws, surging back from a 20-point deficit at the start of the third period, to get within four, 82-78 with 46 seconds left on Bobby Ray Parks free throws. A Robin Rono triple made it a two-point affair later on, but Terrence Romeo closed things out with free throws, sending the Bulldogs to their second loss of the season.

The Bulldogs leaned heavily on their marquee players, Emmanuel Mbe (27 points, 17 rebounds) and Bobby Ray Parks (26 points, eight rebounds), but got no one else in double figures. They're currently last in the league in bench points, with 18.0 per outing, and could use more production in order to keep their two stars fresh.

Adamson (2-2) on the other hand is still hoping center Ingrid Sewa will be ready to play, after a shortened stint in their loss versus Ateneo. The 6'8" Cameroonian hurt his shoulder fighting for a rebound, and as a result logged, just 23 minutes to produce four points and 10 rebounds.

Without Sewa, the team responded by going early and often to the outside shot, and they were just 8-of-32 from long-range. Overall, the team is just seventh out of the eight teams in three-point shooting, hitting an even 25 percent, even without last Sunday's game factored in. If he's out, power forward Rodney Brondial (eight points, six rebounds) might shift over to the five, where he had some success last season.

Game starts at 4pm.
