UAAP: Arvin Tolentino 'officially' a Blue Eagle

San Beda High's Arvin Tolentino confirmed that he will be donning the Blue and White in college, tweeting Saturday that he is "officially a Blue Eagle."

"New TEAM, new SCHOOL, new HOME. Definitely a new LIFE for me. See you all in blue!" he added.

The highly-touted 6'5" forward adds some sorely-needed size to Ateneo de Manila University front court, where he is expected to start alongside fellow San Beda High product Ponso Gotladera, who is a transferee from rivals De La Salle University.

Tolentino has represented the Philippines in multiple international tournaments, most recently, the Under-18 FIBA Championships, where he was teammates with another Ateneo recruit, Thirdy Ravena, out of Ateneo High School.

The San Beda High Red Cubs also recently completed an undefeated season, en route to a five-peat.

Ateneo is no doubt hoping his skills translate well at the collegiate level, in order to help the Blue Eagles return to the Final Four, after missing out in Season 76, with a 7-7 record, following five straight championships.  - AMD, GMA News
