NU wins 5th UAAP Cheerdance title; FEU bags 2nd, Adamson 3rd
The National University is back on top and dominated the 2018 UAAP Cheerdance Competition, securing its fifth non-consecutive title on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
With its "Coco"-inspired costumes and Latin music-themed performance, the NU Pep Squad defeated its seven school rivals to take back the crown which the team had held for four consecutive years from 2013 to 2016.
Last year, the NU Pep Squad lost the title and settled for a fourth place finish, tied with FEU.
Apart from this year's title, the NU Pep Squad also bagged the P50,000 prize.

Coming in at Number 2 this year is the FEU Pep Squad, which returned for a podium finish after placing fourth last year. The team is taking home a P30,000 prize.
Completing the Top 3 is last year's champions, the Adamson Pep Squad. The team received a P20,000 prize.
Group stunts
Further cementing its dominance in this year's competition, the NU Pep Squad also emerged on top of the Group Stunts category.
