The Azkals made a small roster swap for their scheduled Qatar friendlies later this week, the team announced Monday on their website.

The team swapped out Jeffrey Christiaens for his Global FC teammate Daisuke Sato, but otherwise, the remaining 21 players stayed the same on the roster, as picked by head coach Thomas Dooley.

The full line-up reads thus:
  • Eduard Sacapano (Philippine Army GTI FC)
  • Nicholas O'Donnell (Kaya FC)
  • Charles Pettys (Global FC)
  • Anton Del Rosario (Kaya FC)
  • Robert Gier (Ascot United)
  • Daisuke Sato (Global FC)
  • Juan Luis Guirado (CD Burgos)
  • Simone Rota (Stallion FC)
  • Simon Greatwich (Loyola Meralco Sparks FC)
  • Kenshiro Daniels (Kaya FC)
  • Jason De Jong (Global FC)
  • Christopher Greatwich (Kaya FC)
  • Curt Dizon (Global FC)
  • Martin Steuble (FC Wil 1990)
  • Phil Younghusband (Loyola Meralco Sparks FC)
  • Patrick Reichelt (Ceres-La Salle FC)
  • Amani Aguinaldo (Global FC)
  • James Younghusband (Loyola Meralco Sparks FC)
  • Mark Hartmann (Global FC)
  • Nathaniel Burkey (Pachanga PLDT Home Fibr FC)
  • Ruben Doctora Jr. (Stallion FC)
  • Andrew Liauw (Kaya FC)

The move decreases the amount of midfielders of the Azkals, while swapping in a defender to shore up the squad’s rear.

As preparation for May’s AFC Challenge Cup, the Azkals will be in Doha, Qatar to play Nepal on Friday, April 11, and club team Al Ahli SC on Sunday, April 14.  - AMD, GMA News
