Azkals stretch winning streak against Nepal in Doha
The Philippine Azkals continued their domination of Nepal on Saturday, registering a 3-0 victory at the Al Arabi Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The Azkals bucked a slow start, scoring three goals in the second half. It is the third straight shutout for Nepal, who suffered a 4-0 loss in their first meeting against the Philippines in 2011 and a 3-0 result earlier this April.
Simon Greatwich put the Philippines on the board at the 49th minute, before Phil Younghusband converted on a penalty kick at the 90th. Mark Hartmann rounded up the scoring with three minutes of extra time added for the 3-0 win.
The team will play local team AL Ahli SC on November 3 before heading back home to Manila to play Cambodia on November 14 in another friendly. - RAF, GMA News
