Blind Pinay takes home gold medal in ASEAN Para-Games

A blind Filipina athlete has won the gold medal for the Philippines in the 9th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Para-Games.

A report on GMA News' Unang Balita named the Filipina pride as Rosalie Torrefiel, who represented the country in the women's javelin throw tournament.

Torrefiel was followed by Malaysia and Vietnam at the podium for the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

The report said Torrefiel is scheduled to participate in another javelin throw tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia next year. — LA, GMA News
