3 killed in ambush in Ilocos Norte - report

MANILA, Philippines - Three were killed in an ambush staged by unidentified men in Nagrebcan village in Badoc town in Ilocos Norte Monday evening.

Radio dzBB cited initial reports early Tuesday identifying the fatalities as Bernabe Agapay, Kennedy Agapay and Eliseo Agapay, all of Barangobong village in Nueva Era town in Ilocos Norte.

Wounded was matriarch Marelina Agapay, who reported the incident to the police.

Initial investigation showed the victims were on their way to Nagrebcan to sell charcoal when they were ambushed.

Recovered from the crime scene were empty shells of an M-16 rifle and 9-mm and cal-.45 pistols.

Rumors have it that the victims were relatives a suspected gun-for-hire man. - GMANews.TV
