MANILA, Philippines - After a month, the policemen who were suspended for rough treatment of relatives of broadcaster Ted Failon (Mario Teodoro Etong) returned to work Monday. Radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported the policemen led by Senior Superintendent Franklin Mabanag reported for duty at the Quezon City Police Office. However, the report said the cops still face possible criminal charges from Failon's camp over the incident. The policemen were meted a 30-day preventive suspension last month for allegedly giving Failon's relatives the rough treatment while taking them to police headquarters for questioning. The incident occurred at the hospital where Failon's wife Trinidad was rushed after she was found bloodied in the comfort room in the Failon house in Quezon City. Last week, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) found that the death of Mrs. Failon was a suicide and that there was no foul play involved in the familyâs tragedy. - GMANews.TV
