5 killed as truck falls into ravine in Aurora province
A joyous occasion turned tragic after at least five wedding guests were killed when a truck they were riding fell into a ravine in Aurora province Monday.
Radio dzBB's Ronald Leander reported that the victims were heading to Bangco village for a wedding ceremony when the incident happened in Dianawan village in Maria Aurora town.
The victims, who were from Pangasinan, were initially identified as Jimmy Macadaeg; Pedro Sabado; Rosalina Barbado; Delia Ventura; and Maclyn Macadaeg.
Police investigation showed the victims were killed instantly when the truck (PHE-152) fell 30 feet down the ravine.
Maria Aurora is a third-class municipality and is the only land-locked town of the province in the eastern part of Central Luzon. It has a population of 35,289 people in 6,751 households. - LBG, GMANews.TV
