Celebrities to bring glitter to Noynoy’s post-inaugural party
At least 30 celebrity performers are expected to bring glitter to the post-inaugural party of President-elect Benigno âNoynoy" Aquino III in Quezon City, his camp said on Saturday. Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, musician Gary Valenciano and frontman Arnel Pineda of American rock band âJourney" are among the celebrities who will perform in the street party in Quezon Memorial Circle to be held on Wednesday night after Aquinoâs inauguration. The free concert-party, dubbed as âTagumpay ng Taumbayan" (Peopleâs Victory), is expected to draw a crowd of 70,000 people, according to a statement released by the Aquino camp to the media on Saturday said. President-elect Aquino, who will take his oath of office on Wednesday noon at the Quirino Grandstand in Manilaâs historic seafront Rizal Park, will drop by the party at 9 p.m. to mingle with the guests, the statement said. A fireworks display at 12 midnight is expected to provide a grand finale for the event, according to the media release. Other celebrities who confirmed their attendance in the street party â mostly those who supported Aquino during the campaignâ include Gabby Concepcion, Billy Crawford, Anne Curtis, Jed Madela, Coco Martin, Nina, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Mariel Rodriguez, Jay-R, Kyla and Vhong Navarro.âJV, GMANews.TV
