'Money' Mayweather retaliates, bad-mouths Pacquiao
As expected, Floyd Mayweather Jr. wouldn't let Manny Pacquiao get away that easily.
A day after the Filipino boxing star made it known that it's Floyd Jr. who needs him and not the other way around, the brash American boxer answered back and boasted that he will easily beat Pacquiao if and when their highly-anticipated match finally comes to reality.
In his latest UStream broadcast, Mayweather repeatedly stressed Pacquiao won't be able to beat him, and even called the world’s current pound-for-pound fighters names, from 'Poochiao', 'midget' to 'chump.'
"Once I beat him, it's going to be a cakewalk," said Floyd Jr. "And then it's on to the next, and on to the next."
A Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown has all been the boxing world is longing to see.
But negotiations between both parties have bogged down over issues ranging from drug testing procedures to the split in the prize purse.
On Wednesday, however, Pacquiao and trainer Freddie Roach told media in New York during their promotional tour of the Filipino's November 13 title fight with Antonio Margarito, that they've already agreed to all the demands of Mayweather, including the contentious random style drug testing to be administered on both fighters leading up to fight night.
"Whatever he (Mayweather) wanted to do, we were accepting it. Whatever he wanted. Manny said, 'I want to fight. I'll agree to anything.' I thought the fight was a shoo-in," said Roach.
Mayweather though, didn’t respond to the allegations, but rather said that at this point, he doesn’t have the urge to climb back in the ring.
"At this point in time, I don't know if I'm going to fight again. As of right now, I don't have the urge to get up," said the 33-year old native of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
But once he decides to come back and finally face Pacquiao in the potentially richest fight of all time, Mayweather vowed to destroy the Pacman.
"When we do come back, we will kick Poochiao's a**," he said. "I'm letting the fans know, don't worry, we will kick Poochia's a**."
At the same time, he bragged about his unbeaten record of 41 wins (25 knockouts), figures which Mayweather pointed out are superior to that of the Filipino congressman from Sarangani province.
"I get in where I fit in. I either put up or shut up. I stepped up to the plate 41 times and we're not worried about nobody. And like I said before, Poochiao got three losses and two draws, and been knocked out twice."
In parting, Floyd Jr. reiterated how he's going to beat Pacquiao once he finally decided to get back in the ring.
"I'm on a vacation for about a year. As soon as I come off vacation, we gonna cook that little young chump," he said. "We ain’t worried about that. So the fans ain’t gotta worried about me fighting the midget. We gonna cook him with cats and dogs." – JVP/HGS, GMANews.TV
