Suspect in ex-teen star’s road mishap to face QC cops
The driver of the truck that allegedly hit the car of Denver Razon, a former member of “That’s Entertainment,” will present himself on Thursday for preliminary investigation at the Quezon City Police District station in Camp Karingal.
Razon, 29, was killed in a hit-and-run incident allegedly by a 10-wheeler truck in Quezon City on early morning of Wednesday. Razon was a businessman and son of former singer-actor and Mandaluyong City councilor Darius Razon.
The truck driver’s companion, Rudy Gantang, is already under police custody at Camp Karingal. The police also retrieved the truck, which allegedly rammed Razon’s sedan, for scrutiny.
Police Insp. Alejandrito Tablazon, base on initial investigation, revealed the truck bore no signs that it hit Razon’s car.
The owner of the truck said the company would shoulder the damages if his driver is proven responsible for the incident.
Those involved in vehicular accidents causing deaths are often charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
The elder Razon appealed to the public on national television Wednesday for tips that would help track his son’s alleged killers. In 1992, he lost his teenage daughter in a fire that razed his house in Mandaluyong City.-GMANews.TV
