Phivolcs: Magnitude-3.3 quake hits Bohol area

A magnitude-3.3 quake rocked parts of Bohol in Central Visayas Saturday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 5:34 p.m. and was tectonic in origin.

Phivolcs also said the quake's epicenter was traced to 41 km southeast of Tagbilaran City in Bohol.

It was felt at:

  • Intensity III: Loboc town in Bohol
  • Intensity II: Tagbilaran City and Cortes town, both in Bohol, and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental
  • Intensity I: Mambajao town in Camiguin and Mandaue City in Cebu

However, Phivolcs said no damage or aftershock was expected from the quake. — JE, GMA News
