Filipino basketball fans in the United Arab Emirates are expected to show its full force this week in a pair of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) matches at the Al Shabab Al Arabi Sports Club in Dubai.

Governors Cup leader Talk 'N Text will face B-MEG and Barangay Ginebra in separate games on Thursday and Friday night, respectively, news site Gulf News reported on Tuesday.

Expected to be a hit with fans are B-MEG's forward James Yap, Ginebra guard Mark Caguioa and Talk 'N Text playmaker Jimmy Alapag.

The Gulf News report particularly noted Yap had attracted attention for his life both in and out of the basketball court.

Yap had been married to presidential sister Kris Aquino. They have a son, Bimby. - JVP, GMA News
