Floods caused by recent typhoons ravaged Bulacan, particularly the municipalities of Hagonoy and Calumpit. Canada is providing almost PhP 2 million to the rehabilitation needs of more than 4,000 public school students in the most affected barangays of both municipalities.
The assistance, in partnership with World Vision, provides school materials for these children and training for teachers on counselling traumatized students.
Canada has been a development partner of the Philippines for the last 25 years, with its current program focusing on the promotion of sustainable economic growth in the country. Press release from Embassy of Canada
