Run, watch the famed Manila Bay sunset, and help save a life
Don Henrico's- the restaurant chain known for its Italian cuisine- has a new-found purpose of saving lives, courtesy of a charity marathon event. Don Henrico's Run: Help Save a Life Today, is an urban race that aims to help the Sagip Buhay Foundation, a local organization that provides medication to the less fortunate who are admitted at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). The run will take place at 3:30pm (just in time to catch a glimpse of the scenic view of the sunset bay) of December 17, 2011 at the CCP Complex, Pasay City. Interested runners can register for the 3K, 5K, and 10K races at any Don Henrico's restaurant in Metro Manila from October 25 to December 15, 2011. For a registration fee of P600, runners will receive a race kit that includes a singlet, a bib number, and an exclusive post event shirt. Don Henrico's will also have food available for the runners after the event. The top three finishers for each category will also receive cash prizes - P5,000 for the winner of the 10K run, P4,000 for the winner of the 5K run, and P3,000 for the winner of the 3K run. "One of the brand's mission statements is to share and help improve the quality of life in the community that we serve," says Anthony Mercado, Corporate Marketing Manager of Don Henrico's Pizza Foods Corporation. "And what a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than to do something you love and help those in need."
