Several Metro Manila roads to be closed this weekend for repairs
Several major roads in Metro Manila will be closed to traffic this weekend for repair work, the Department of Public Works and Highways said Thursday.
The DPWH said motorists and the public should expect traffic slowdown or buildup in these thoroughfares from 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, to 4 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30.
In a news release posted on the Official Gazette website, the DPWH said the roads to be closed this weekend include:
- Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia) from Roxas Blvd. to Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City, under the supervision of South Manila Engineering District Office;
- Taft Avenue (Cluster), Pasay City from Sto Niño St. to EDSA northbound, under the supervision of South Manila Engineering District Office;
- Aurora Boulevard (southbound), Pasay City from EDSA to Andrews Avenue, under the supervision of South Manila Engineering District Office;
- New Panaderos St., Sta. Ana, Manila, under the supervision of South Manila Engineering District;
- South Superhighway (southbound) from Zobel Roxas St. to Qurino Avenue, under the South Manila Engineering District;
- EDSA, Caloocan City, northbound lane going to Monumento, 6th lane from center island, between Malvar and Arellano St., under the supervision of Third Metro Manila Engineering District Office;
- Katipunan Avenue, C-5 southbound going to Ortigas Avenue, first lane from center island between Eastwood Avenue and Greenmeadows Avenue, under the supervision of Quezon City Second Engineering District Office;
- Araneta Avenue from F. Arguelles St. to Landargun St. second lane from center island, under the supervision of Quezon City Second Engineering District Office;
- EDSA, Quezon City, southbound going to Quezon Avenue, second lane between MRT North Avenue Station and Quezon Avenue, under the supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District Office;
- EDSA Quezon City, Zuzuaregui to Northbound from Quezon Avenue to Cloverleaf, Balintawak under the supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District Office; and
- Commonwealth Avenue, Zuzuaregui to Commonwealth Market, third lane between Feria Road and Ilang-Ilang northbound and fourth lane southbound near Km. 16, under the supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District Office.
