Balikbayan, two suspected robbers killed in Taguig holdup
A balikbayan from Canada died after being shot by two suspected robbers, who were also killed in an encounter with the police in Taguig City early on Friday.
Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported that the suspects held up the balikbayan and shot him when he tried to fight back.
The report said the suspects engaged the responding policemen, including Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) members, in a shootout.
Fleeing from the police, the suspects reportedly tried to hide in a residential area in Lower Bicutan.
Both suspects were reportedly shot dead in one of the houses there — one inside the comfort room and the other at the back of the house.
