A bodyguard or an Executive Protection Agent (EPA) must be ready to die for the client, but its pay and its perks are some of the factors that attract men to get into this dangerous business. "It can definitely be a good paying job. An international executive protection agent can make anywhere from six to seven hundred dollars a day," said American Jose Antonio Revilla, an Executive Protection Trainer from O&R Protection Services in California. Revilla was brought in by Global Elite Protection to train Filipinos who want to learn more about the business of protection. With the Philippines becoming a destination for international film productions and music artists, the demand for quality protection has been on  an upward surge. But is the average Filipino built to deter crime? "It doesn't really matter how big you are. We're all about brain over brawn. If you have both, that's even better. You want to be able to speak to people," added Revilla.   Revilla had the credentials to back him up. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Law Enforcement Academy. He has also worked with the United States Secret Service. His team at O&R Protective Services, based in Glendale, California, has provided protection services for the likes of Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Sean "Diddy" Combs. For some, getting involved in the bodyguard business may be about the money it brings. But for some Filipino EPAs, it's equally about the experiences that come with it. "You have the opportunity to travel worldwide. You are also able to give protection to very important people," said bodyguard Armin Nocom. Interesting enough, not just professional bodyguards were around to attend the executive protection training. Even private individuals were around to participate. "Kung hindi ko man 'to magamit sa trabaho ko, sigurado yung matututunan ko magagamit ko sa sarili ko at sa pamilya ko," disclosed Robin Remulla.
