USGS: Magnitude-4.9 quake jolts north Luzon
A magnitude-4.9 quake jolted the Babuyan Islands area in Extreme Northern Luzon shortly after noon Saturday, but there was no initial report of damage or casualty.
In a bulletin, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 12:46 p.m.

Earlier, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded a magnitude-5.5 quake that jolted the Bicol area.
