Missing captain of motorboat that sank off Boracay found dead
A captain of a motorboat that sank off Boracay Island in Aklan last week was found dead over the weekend, the Philippine Coast Guard said.
Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Algier Ricafrente said the body of Ramy Paloma was found off Boracay, radio dzBB reported early Monday.
Paloma was the captain of the "MBcas Capt K," which capsized off Puka Beach Resort near Yapak village in Boracay Island in Aklan at 2:15 p.m. last Jan. 26.
Twelve people, 10 of them foreigners, were rescued from the incident.
Data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council identified those rescued as:

- Michael Cortan, 27, Filipino crewmember
- Jason Cooper, 30, Filipino tour guide.
