3 suspects in Ramgen slay plead not guilty
Three suspects in last year's killing of actor-model Ramgen Revilla pleaded not guilty during their arraignment before a Parañaque City court Monday.
Ryan Pastera, Glaiza Visda and Norween dela Cruz entered the pleas before Parañaque Judge Fortunito Madrona, radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported.
Following their "not guilty" plea, the court set the pre-trial for the case on March 1, where the prosecution and defense will prepare their respective evidence.
Pastera, Visda and dela Cruz were tagged as the middlemen in the fatal stabbing and shooting of Revilla (real name Ramgen Bautista) in his Parañaque residence last October.
Pastera surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation earlier this month.
Earlier, accused gunmen Francis Tolisora and Michael Nartea claimed Pastera asked Visda and De la Cruz to help him find gunmen to kill Ramgen. The three denied the claim.
Ramgen and Janelle were attacked inside the former's home in Parañaque on October 28. Ramgen died after sustaining several stab wounds and a gunshot wound in his body. Janelle survived the attack despite a gunshot wound in the face.
Police later implicated Ramgen's two younger siblings — Ramon Joseph or RJ and Ramona — in the crime. RJ is already in police custody while Ramona has fled the country.
Another sibling of the slain actor — Maria Ragelyn Gail Bautista — was also implicated in the crime but has since denied the allegations. The mother of the Revilla/Bautista siblings — Genelyn Magsaysay — has also denied that her children are involved in the killing of Ramgen. — RSJ, GMA News
