Run to save lives, run for breastfeeding

Groups and individuals who believe in the value of breastfeeding are all invited to the “Run to Save Lives. Run for Breastfeeding!” on 4 February 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The 5K run and 2K walk seeks to raise awareness on and gather advocates for the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding for children 0-6 months old and proper infant and young child feeding practices.
Groups/individuals who are interested to join must register online at mdgf2030@gmail.com, g3mnl@ilo.org or www.takbo.ph and download the Pledge of Commitment form on or before February 2, 2012.
Runners and walkers must submit the accomplished forms before the start of the event to get the free T-shirt. Registration fee for runners is Php220.00 while for walkers is free of charge. Assembly/registration is at 5:00 am at the IMAX Parking Area of SM Mall of Asia. The run/walk will kick-off at 6:00 am. A short program will be held after the event where cash prizes will be awarded to winning runners.
The campaign is organized under the Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund 2030/Philippines (MDGF-2030) by the National Nutrition Council of the Department of Health and its partners – Food and Agriculture Organization, International Labor Organization, UNICEF, World Food Programme, World Health Organization, and in partnership with SM Cares Foundation.
