Metro Manila road repairs this weekend may cause traffic

The Department of Public Works and Highways advised motorists to expect a slowdown or buildup of traffic in some major roads in Metro Manila this weekend due to road repair work.
 
In an advisory posted on its website, the DPWH said its Metro Manila unit will conduct the repairs from 10 p.m. of Friday, Feb. 3 to 4 a.m. of Monday, Feb. 6.
 
The areas include:
 
  • Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia) from Roxas Blvd. to Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City;
  • Taft Avenue (Cluster), Pasay City from Sto Niño St. to EDSA southbound;
  • Aurora Boulevard (southbound), Pasay City from EDSA to Andrews Avenue;
  • New Panaderos St., Sta. Ana, Manila;
  • South Superhighway (southbound) from Zobel Roxas St. to Qurino Avenue;
  • EDSA, Caloocan City, northbound lane going to Monumento, sixth lane from center island, between F. Aguilar St. and G. De Jesus St.;
  • EDSA, Quezon City, southbound going to Quezon Avenue, first lane between West Avenue Station to Quezon Avenue;
  • EDSA, Quezon City, Corregidor first lane northbound from Quezon Avenue to Fema Road; and
  • Katipunan Avenue, C-5 southbound going to B. Serrano Avenue, second lane from center island between Aurora Blvd. and P. Tuazon St. and first lane from center island between Sunrise St. and R. Matanda St. 
 
The DPWH said the repair and maintenance work on these roads were coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
 
It also said motorists who have concerns, complaints or suggestions may call 165-02; (632) 536-3477 or text DPWH (space) message then send to 2920. –KG, GMA News
