Egypt state TV: Cairo state building in flames near interior ministry
CAIRO - An Egyptian government building, opposite the interior ministry where protesters were clashing with police, was in flames on Friday, state television said.
"Fire in the Tax Authority building, opposite the interior ministry," state television reported, without providing details on the cause of the blaze.
The building is in central Cairo, where deadly clashes have raged for two days amid mounting anger over football-related violence on Wednesday that left 74 people dead.
