Hacktivists hack FBI site, post record of conference call
Hacktivists continued to attack and taunt US authorities, hacking into the Federal Bureau of Investigation and posting a record of one of its conference calls. Anonymous released a confidential conference call between the FBI and law enforcement officers in the United Kingdom on probes against hackers. The Hacker News reported the call lasted 16 minutes. It said the call may have been made last Jan. 17, where tracking and prosecuting members of the loose-knit hacking group was discussed. Anonymous also posted on Pastebin.com an email titled “Anon-Lulz International Coordination Call.” The Hacker News said the initial link to the conference call was for an mp3 download, but it was also made available to stream on YouTube. For their part, FBI and Scotland Yard confirmed their internal conference call describing their investigation into Anonymous hackers was illegally intercepted. "We are aware of the video which relates to an FBI conference call involving a PCeU representative. The matter is being investigated by the FBI. We continue to carry out a full assessment. We are not prepared to discuss further," The Hacker News quoted the Metropolitan Police as saying. — LBG, GMA News
