MMDA: R.M. Blvd closed again for 'Bourne' filming on Feb. 11-13

Motorists and commuters who suffered through heavy traffic along Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila's Sta. Mesa district this weekend due to the filming of the upcoming spy thriller "The Bourne Legacy" may have to brace for a repeat performance on Valentine's weekend.
 
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said parts of the road will again be closed to traffic from Feb. 11 to 13.
 
In an entry on its Twitter account Sunday afternoon, the MMDA said the portion of R.M. Boulevard will be closed from Feb. 4 to 5 and from Feb. 11 to 13.
 
An extended tweet indicated the affected part of the road will include the stretch between G. Araneta and Pureza Street.
 
During this weekend, motorists and commuters complained of heavy traffic along R.M. Boulevard due to the filming of the movie.
 
In its Twitter message, the MMDA suggested alternative routes:
  • From G. Araneta Aurora Boulevard to Quiapo-Nagtahan, right at G. Araneta, left at Palanza, left at Santol Street, right at Buenos Aires, right G. Tuazon, left at V.G. Cruz at R. Magsaysay to point of destination or vice versa
  • From E. Rodriguez to G. Araneta, right at Bayani Road, left at G. Tuazon, left at V.G. Cruz, right R. Magsaysay to point of destination or vice versa.
  • From Cubao to President Quirino via Aurora Boulevard R. Magsaysay Boulevard: left at Gilmore, right at N. Domingo, old Sta. Mesa, left at Valenzuela, right at J. Zamora-Laura to point of destination of vice versa.
  • From Shaw Boulevard to Nagtahan-Quiapo area: left at Kalentong, New Panaderos, P. Gil, right at P. Quirino to point of destination or vice versa; or
  • Shaw Boulevard, P. Sanchez, V. Mapa, left at Old Sta. Mesa, left Valenzuela right at J. Zamora-Laura to point of destination or vice versa.
