1 shot dead in Manila anti-drug operation
One of at least two men was shot dead in an encounter with police elements conducting an anti-drug operation in Manila's downtown district before dawn Thursday. The Manila Police District Station (MPD) 3 said the incident occurred at the corner of Severino and C.M. Recto Avenue in Quiapo, radio dzBB reported. MPD Station 3 head Superintendent James Afalla said his men were conducting a drug buy-bust operation at the time of the shooting.
