Girl feared dead after jumping into QC creek

February 14, 2012 7:53am
A 14-year-old girl depressed over family problems was feared dead after she jumped into a creek in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday.

Coast Guard Special Operations Group divers failed to find the body of the girl identified as "Analyn," radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad reported.

The girl, who had been depressed over recent family problems, jumped into the creek at Doña Imelda in Quezon City at about 1 a.m.

Her boyfriend, who felt guilty for not being able to stop her, said the girl had been depressed in the past few days and hinted at suicide because of her family problems.

While a Coast Guard team was called in to locate the girl's body, the team ended its search before dawn empty-handed.

The report quoted the Coast Guard team members as saying the current may have carried Analyn's body far from the area. –KG, GMA News
