Epson wraps up 'Beautiful Philippines' imaging contest

Epson Philippines Corporation, together with SM malls and SM Cyberzone, is concluding its Epson Color Imaging Contest (CIC) 2011 which highlights the splendor of the Philippines.

With the theme “Beautiful Philippines”, the contest encouraged photography enthusiasts to capture images that bring out the natural, cultural, or human beauty of the Philippines.

The contest ran from November 1 to December 31 last year. This is also the first time that the contest was hosted through the popular social networking site Facebook.

From the 445 entries, Epson will recognize the winners of the competition at the Epson Color Imaging Contest 2011 awards ceremony and exhibit, which will be held at the 4th floor of the SM Annex Event Area at the SM City North EDSA on Friday, February 17, 2012.

The first prize winner will receive $1,500 cash prize, an Epson Stylus Photo R1390, an all-expense-paid trip to the CIC 2011 exhibition in Taipei, and the chance to represent the Philippines in the international arena, where the winning artwork will be displayed among regional finalists from Indonesia, India and Taiwan.

The second prize winner will receive $1,000 and an Epson L800 photo printer, while the third prize winner will take home $500 and an Epson PictureMate PM310.

The photo that got the most “likes” on Facebook – the Voter’s Choice Award – will also receive an Epson PictureMate PM310 and $200.

The top four photos and the weekly finalists will be showcased from February 18 to 23 on an exhibit that will also be held at the venue.
