NBA: Injured Ginobili sidelined for two weeks, Spurs say

February 21, 2012 11:27am
The streaking San Antonio Spurs will be without Manu Ginobili for two weeks after an examination confirmed he has a strained left oblique, the team said on Monday (Tuesday, PHL time).

Ginobili was injured in the second half of the Spurs' win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. The team said he would remain in San Antonio for treatment.

The game was only the fourth back for the Argentine, who had missed 22 with a broken left hand.

San Antonio, winner of its past 10 games heading into a Monday contest at Utah, will also be without forward-center Tiago Splitter for the next two weeks. The Brazilian has a strained right calf. - Reuters
