February 25, 2012 1:10pm
A Kenyan national was taken into custody by authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Friday night, after inspectors found at least seven kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in her luggage.

The drugs were found in the luggage of the Kenyan initially identified as Achieng Noah Lina, 36, radio dzBB reported early Saturday.

An investigation showed the Kenyan had arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 from the United Arab Emirates when immigration agents stopped her after finding drugs in her luggage.

A separate report on "Balitanghali" said the drugs were reportedly placed in special packaging.

The report quoted the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency as saying its operatives had waited for the Kenyan, after it received reports about the drugs she was bringing.

It added authorities are following leads on her colleagues. — LBG, GMA News
