Police: 26 hurt in Baguio car-bus collision
Twenty-six people were injured when a passenger bus crashed into a car in Baguio City on Sunday, police said.
The bus, operated by Lizardo Bus Line, was going down a slope along Bakakeng Road at 10:30 a.m. when it collided with an approaching private car, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said.
SPO1 Hester Lauf from the Benguet provincial police, meanwhile, said that all four passengers of the car and 22 others inside the bus obtained slight injuries from the accident.
The accident happened while the annual Panagbenga Festival is ongoing in Baguio City.
Lauf said that the driver of the bus, identified as Eduardo Sawig, has already been placed under police custody while authorities are investigating the incident. — Andreo C. Calonzo/KBK, GMA News
