UAAP ends 74th season on Saturday

The 74th UAAP season ends on Saturday with formal yet festive ceremonies at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum in Pasay City.   The ceremony starts at 1 p.m. and will be highlighted by the awarding of the season's most outstanding athlete and the juniors and seniors general championship trophies to University of Santo Tomas. Season 74 president Ricky Palou of host school Ateneo will formally close another banner season of the country's most prestigious collegiate league, and will turnover the UAAP flag— symbolic of the general hosting chores—to 75th season host National University through incoming president Nilo Ocampo. The season's top athletes and scholar-athletes from each of the eight member schools will also be recognized in the ceremony. La Salle’s Dance Company Street is expected to defend its title against challengers Adamson's Casts, UST's Salinggawi Dance, NU's Underdawgz, Far Eastern University's Dance Company, Ateneo's Company of Ateneo Dancers, University of the East's Warriors and University of the Philippines' Street Dance Club. — JVP, GMA News
