Consumers may finally get some relief from high fuel prices as independent liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dealers rolled back their prices Monday by P1 per kilo.
LPG Marketers Association party list Rep. Arnel Ty said Monday this is due to the decrease in the world prices of LPG.
"Ang magandang balita, ang international market price ng LPG ay bumagsak. Nag-umpisa nang bumulusok pababa," he said in an interview on dzBB radio.
He said their initial rollback would amount to P1 per kilo, or P11 per 11-kg tank.
Before Monday's development, prices of LPG and other fuel prices had been going up.
Prices of other fuel products had gone up virtually every week so far this year, prompting several groups to stage protest actions.
"Ang initial rollback for today is P1 per kilo muna. Bawa't isang tangke P11 per 11-kg tank ang ibababa ngayon," Ty said. – KG, GMA News
