March 23, 2012 8:30am

Two suspects in the killing of a graduating high school student last Tuesday night were arrested Thursday night in Taguig City.

Police arrested the two—initially identified as Bobby Babago and Arnold Tagalog—in a follow-up operation, radio dzBB reported early Friday.

At least four witnesses linked the two to the killing of Rowell Cruz, 15, a graduating student of Signal Village National High School.

Investigation showed Cruz was playing with his portable gaming device near his house when the two suspects arrived aboard a motorcycle and tried to take the console.

When Cruz tried to fight back, one of the suspects shot him.

Police managed to trace the motorcycle used by the suspects, and arrested the two in Lower Bicutan village Thursday night. –KG, GMA News
