Consumers may look forward to another price rollback for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as independent dealers of the commodity lower their prices anew by P1 per kilogram effective Wednesday.

LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA) party-list Rep. Arnel Ty said the rollback, which will amount to P11 per 11-kg tank, will take effect 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

"Effective tomorrow P1 per kilo ang ibababa namin. Ito ang second sa buwan na ito na nai-rollback ng member namin," he said in an interview on dzBB radio.

He said this will mean a suggested retail price of P764 per 11-kg tank starting Wednesday, instead of the present P775 per tank.

Ty also hinted at further price rollbacks in the coming months, as demand for the commodity is not seen to increase.

Earlier this month, Ty said consumers can expect a hefty rollback for LPG, when LPGMA members first rolled back prices by P1 per kilo last March 19. — KBK, GMA News
