The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila residents must brace for a 35-degrees Celsius weather on Good Friday. On its 5:00 a.m. bulletin on Holy Thursday, PAGASA said Metro Manila may experience temperatures between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius on Holy Thursday and as high as 35 degrees Celsius on Good Friday. PAGASA said a high pressure area, associated with sunny and warm weather, is extending across Northern Luzon. On the eastern parts of the country, PAGASA said isolated rain showers and thunderstorms loom. "The whole country will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section," PAGASA said on its bulletin. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to east, with slight to moderate seas. - VVP, GMA News
