The Loyola Meralco Sparks aim to snatch the top spot from Global FC as it faces Pasargad at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the University of Makati Football Field. The Sparks, who looking to come back to its winning ways after drawing with Air Force in their last game, will face struggling Pasargad FC, who have one only one win in eight outings. On Saturday, Loyola will have to rely on Phil Younghusband and Mark Hartmann, as James Younghusband will be missing action due to a one-match ban for being sent off in their previous game against Air Force. The younger Younghusband and Hartmann are expected to continue with their scoring ways, as they are among the UFL's top five scorers. Phil Younghusband is at the top stop with 12 goals while Hartmann is at third with seven goals. At 4 p.m., Kaya FC will face Army Fritz and Macziol. It will be the first time for Kaya FC to play without former coach Juan Cutillas, who resigned after a 5-1 loss to Global FC. Kaya FC is currently in third place with 18 points, behind Global FC at first (21 points) and Loyola Meralco Sparks (19 points). Former Kaya player Kale Alvarez will call the shots for Kaya FC, with injured Azkals captain Aly Borromeo assisting from the sidelines. — RAF/JVP, GMA News
