2 suspects in Robinsons Galleria robbery detained at Taguig facility
At least two suspects linked to the brazen robbery at the Robinsons Galleria mall last March 29 were brought to Metro Manila and detained at a high-security facility late Tuesday, following their arrest in Iloilo province.
The two suspects, Willie Enriquez and Ireneo dela Cruz, were detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, radio dzBB reported early Wednesday.
Enriquez and dela Cruz were tagged in the Robinsons Galleria robbery that killed at least one person and wounded six others.
Both were arrested in Iloilo after police were tipped off about their presence there. Recovered from them were handguns including a cal-.45 pistol and a cal-.38 revolver.
The dzBB report said the two were also linked to a series of robberies, including those in Alabang Town Center in southern Metro Manila; a subdivision in Cagayan de Oro City; a money transfer establishment in San Pedro in Laguna; and Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. –KG, GMA News
