Two Pinay painters hold art exhibit in London
Two Filipina painters based in the United Kingdom are holding a joint art exhibit dubbed "Sulyap" at the Philippine Embassy in London. In a news release, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said “Sulyap” features over 50 works of long-time UK residents Nene Martin and Susan Robertson. The exhibit opened on April 16 and will run until April 27. “Martin, a long-time hospital administrator, and Robertson, an artist entrepreneur, described their exhibit as ‘a glimpse into a joyful journey towards self-discovery,” the DFA said. Their works involved a variety of media, and highlighted Filipino and British scenes, and still-life studies of everyday objects, the DFA said. Philippine Ambassador to the UK Enrique Manalo and wife Pamela formally opened the exhibition. - VVP, GMA News
