Police have started investigating the death of a former seaman who fell from the seventh floor of a building in Manila's downtown Sta. Cruz district before dawn Friday. The fatality was initially identified as Jonas Dumanay, 22, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported. The report said the victim was clad in shorts when he fell at about 5 a.m. Dumanay fell from the seventh floor of a condominium building along Lope de Vega Street, across the Fabella Memorial Hospital. An initial investigation by the Manila Police District Station 3 showed Dumanay had visited his brother who had a unit in the building. Police said Dumanay's brother Bruce was surprised to learn of the victim's death. Investigators are not discounting at this stage the possibility of foul play in Dumanay's death. — LBG, GMA News
