DOT launches 'It's More Fun in the Philippines' TV commercials
The Department of Tourism released on Monday the first two TV commercials for the "It's More Fun in the Philippines" campaign, which has relied heavily on social media buzz since its launch in January.
The first video, which runs for 30 seconds, features a series of crowdsourced interpretations of the "It's More Fun in the Philippines" slogan, and ends with the question, "What will you come up with?"
Among the famous tourist destinations featured in the video are the rice terraces of the Cordillera, the Chocolate Hills of Bohol, and the limestone islands of Palawan.
A second video, which runs for 15 seconds, features footage of the iconic Philippine Tarsier with the caption, "Staring Contests. More fun in the Philippines."
Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr. posted on his Twitter account that the commercials premiered Monday morning on the international news channel, CNN:
