Subic to host international triathlon in May

A total of $5000 will be given away at the 2012 Subic International Marathon, to be held at the Subic Bay Freeport from May 5 to 6.   On May 5, participants of the sprint category will go for a 750-meter swim, followed by a 20-kilometer bike ride and a five-kilometer run.   Also set to compete on Saturday are the Junior Elites, Elites, Under 23 and Relay categories.   For the Age Group Standard Distance category on May 6 , the race will cover 1.5 kilometers of swimming at either the Dungaree or All Hands beach, followed by a 40-kilometer bike course, and a 10 kilometer running course. - Renee Fopalan / AMD, GMA News
