A Catholic priest urged Filipinos all over the world to pray for the success of Filipino-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez, one of the four remaining contestants on the reality singing competition "American Idol."   In an interview on Tuesday, Father Conegundo Garganta, executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Episcopal Commission on Youth, said he believes in the talent of the 16-year old singer.   “With such talent, it’s only but proper for us to help and support her especially since she’s a youth," Garganta said. He noted that despite her age, "she’s faced with such a big challenge already."   Since it is a competition,Garganta said anything can happen. However, he said he was hoping that Sanchez’s experience in "American Idol" would inspire other aspiring singers.   “(But) Whether or not Jessica Sanchez wins, I hope this will open the door for other people to show their talent to the world,” Garganta said.   Sanchez’s mother Editha, hails from Bataan. Editha is a daughter of Eddie Bugay, a retired US Navy man who hails from Samal but now resides in Orani town in Bataan. - VVP, GMA News
