'Hawaiian Punch' gets warm welcome at Manila City Hall; motorcade scheduled

Following his win over Omar Niño Romero to retain the World Boxing Organization flyweight crown, "Hawaiian Punch" Brian Viloria paid a courtesy call to Manila city officials Tuesday morning. Viloria got a warm welcome from residents and employees at City Hall before meeting with Mayor Alfredo Lim, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported. The champ - wearing a white polo shirt and denim pants - appeared relaxed as he showed off his WBO belt, the report said. A motorcade was scheduled for later today in his honor, in major thoroughfares of the city, including Taft Avenue, Rizal Avenue, C.M. Recto Avenue, España Avenue, and Maceda Street.
