When the Corona defense team called Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales to the witness stand on Monday, they thought it would somehow help their cause. Instead, to the apparent surprise of the defense, the former Supreme Court Justice unveiled an elaborate PowerPoint presentation tracing the flows of millions of dollars in Corona's purported dollar bank accounts, now being described as a "smoking gun" in the four-month-old trial. 

Chief Justice Renato Corona promptly called the charges a "lantern of lies." He is expected to explain or dispute the Ombudsman's allegations when it's his turn at the witness stand.
