At least 6 hurt as bus falls into ravine in Negros

At least six members of a youth delegation were injured after a bus they were riding fell into a ravine in Negros Occidental Saturday. The injured were youths from Cebu province, according to a report on dzBB radio early Sunday. Investigation showed the bus belonged to the Don Bosco Technical Institute  based in Victorias City. But a report on state-run Philippines News Agency as many as 19 students from the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Cebu City, who had attended a two-day leadership training at a retreat house in Negros, were injured in the incident. The PNA report said the school bus that ferried them from Cebu City was crossing a zigzag road when it fell into a 10-meter-deep ravine past 10 a.m. in Sitio Talos, Barangay Igmaya-an, Don Salvador Benedicto in Murcia town in Negros Occidental. The seriously injured students were brought to Adventist Medical Center while the other injured students who were brought to Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. — LBG, GMA News
